Why Was My AdSense Application Rejected?

Start with the reason Google gave. For each one you get what it usually means, in Google's own words where Google has them, what to check first and the free tests that look at exactly that. Then scan your site: the report lists the findings that can explain the rejection.

Start with what AdSense told you

What did Google AdSense tell you?

What AdSense actually tells you

When a site isn't approved, AdSense shows it under Sites with the status Needs attention and one or more reasons underneath. The same result usually arrives by e-mail, and site-level policy problems are listed in Policy center. Write the reasons down word for word before you change anything: they decide where to look.

The labels publishers see most often are Low value content, Site down or unavailable, Policy violations, Valuable inventory: Under construction, Valuable inventory: No content and Site navigation issues. Several can appear at once, and each one is broad: Low value content alone can mean thin posts, copied text, a mostly empty site or hundreds of near-identical pages.

Why technical causes come first

A rejection that reads like a content problem is sometimes a crawler that never saw the content. A Disallow line for Mediapartners-Google in robots.txt, a Cloudflare challenge, an expired certificate or a redirect loop on the www version all look the same from Google's side: the pages couldn't be read.

These are also the quickest to rule out. Each answer above lists the free checks that test them; each one runs in seconds and needs no account.

How the scan connects your reason to your site

The free scan reads the first pages of your site the way Google's crawlers do and runs the same checks as the full report. Started from this page, the report opens on its Issues tab with your reason already entered in the rejection decoder, which lists the findings that can explain it and how many pages each one touches.

The decoder matches Google's wording, it doesn't guess: when the scan finds nothing behind a reason, it says so. You can also paste the whole rejection e-mail there; it recognises Google's reasons in English and Turkish. Every check, and the evidence it relies on, is documented on the methodology page.

Before you click Request review

  • Fix the cause first. An unchanged site gets the same answer, and Google says the review "usually takes a few days, but in some cases can take 2-4 weeks".
  • Don't remove the site and add it again. Google: "Make sure you don't remove your site and resubmit it because this can delay the process."
  • Don't open a second AdSense account to try again. Google allows one account per publisher, and a duplicate account is a rejection reason of its own.
  • Look at your changes logged out and on a phone, the way a reviewer sees the site.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Can this tell me exactly why my site was rejected?

No tool outside Google can. Approvalens can't see your AdSense account or the review itself. What it can do is check your site for the problems that lead to each reason and show you the evidence, so you fix the likely cause instead of guessing.

Do I need an account?

No. Picking a reason, the free checks and the free scan all work without signing up. An account is only needed to buy a full report.

AdSense gave me more than one reason. Which one do I pick?

Pick the first one here to see what to check. Then, on the report's Issues tab, paste the whole message into the rejection decoder: it recognises every reason in it and lists the findings behind each one.

Is Approvalens connected to Google?

No. Approvalens is independent and not affiliated with Google. The quotes on this page come from Google's public help pages, linked next to each one.

How long should I wait before requesting another review?

There is no set waiting time: request a review once the cause is fixed. Google says the review usually takes a few days and sometimes 2-4 weeks.
